On 29 April 2024, we opened a new chapter: With harry's home Lienz, we are represented in East Tyrol for the first time – and in Tyrol for the second time overall.
In our 15th hotel, we welcome guests from all over the world to the sunny town of Lienz, nestled between the Lienz Dolomites and wooded slopes – ideal for business trips, family holidays, sports breaks and weekends for two. What can you expect? A hotel that works the way you travel: e-bike rental with service point, bike and ski storage, a small but exquisite wellness area and a separate playroom for children. The location has been carefully chosen – the old town, main railway station, mountain railways and outdoor swimming pool are all within a few minutes’ walk.
Many of our studios and apartments are equipped with a kitchen – perfect for longer stays or for those who like to decide for themselves whether they want to go out or cook ‘at home’. Our favourite place in the building is ‘harry’s living room’ on the top floor with a view of the Dolomites. In summer, you can set off from here for hiking, biking and climbing, and in winter for skiing, snowboarding or cross-country skiing in the nearby Zettersfeld and Hochstein ski areas. Afterwards, you can relax in the wellness area with sauna and relaxation zone.
As always at harry’s home, our service points offer washing machines and dryers, and snacks are available around the clock from vending machines. In addition to families, business travellers, sports groups and motorbike enthusiasts also check in with us.
Why Lienz is important to us
With Lienz, we have deliberately chosen a location that combines both business and leisure. We see the city as a place for meetings and business as well as a base for nature and sport. It was precisely this combination that was important to us. “With the new hotel in Lienz, we are once again positioning ourselves as a business location and holiday destination. We are delighted to welcome guests to the “second capital of Tyrol” with immediate effect,‘ says Harald ’Harry” Ultsch, founder and managing director of harry’s home.
The property was developed by SES, the real estate specialist of the SPAR Austria Group. Together with investment partners Kronberg International and the Styrian Medical Association, 17 million euros were invested in the project.
