General

The General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of harry’s home differ by country. While the GTC for Austria and Germany are listed directly below, different GTC apply to Switzerland. Please note that, depending on your location, different rules and conditions apply, which are described in detail in the respective GTC. General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for the Locations in Austria and Germany

Valid for the locations

Austria: Bischofshofen, Dornbirn, Hart bei Graz, Graz-Smart City, Lienz-East Tyrol, Linz-Urfahr, Salzburg, Steyr, Telfs-Innsbruck, Villach and Vienna-Millennium Tower
Germany: Berlin-Moabit, Munich-Moosach

All prices are stated in euros. Unless otherwise regulated in individual cases, the prices offered include all taxes and charges*, valid until revoked. Any price changes resulting from taxes and charges shall be borne by the contracting party. New government levies will be added to the contract prices.

* For Harry’s Home in Graz, Linz, Dornbirn and Zurich a local/city tax per person and day applies, which is shown at the time of booking.

Reservations

We are happy to accept verbal or telephone reservations. However, in the interest of both parties, a reservation should be confirmed in writing (letter, email). This guarantees that a room is reserved for you. If you plan to arrive later than 6:00 p.m., please inform us.

For group bookings from 10 rooms or 15 people, separate cancellation and payment terms apply. Our reception will be happy to provide information.

Guarantee / Payment

The booker guarantees/pays for the reservation via a link sent by our payment provider, in accordance with the PSD2 regulation with two-factor authentication.

We cannot guarantee reservations without a deposit or credit card authorization. Without a guarantee, we reserve the right to resell the room in the event of no-show by 6:00 p.m.

For stays of 3 nights or more, we always require the guarantee/deposit via the payment link.

Additional persons

Please note that if a room booking has been confirmed for one person, a surcharge applies for any additional arriving guests.

Preferred room

Please understand that we cannot make binding commitments for specific room numbers or floors.

Shortening of the stay

Free reductions by 1 night are possible on the new day of departure free of charge until 11:00 a.m.; after that, the following night will be charged at 100%. Excluded from this are special rates with prepayment and bookings without free cancellation, as well as selected trade fair and congress periods, long-stay rates and group bookings, which are charged at 100%.

When shortening long-stay rates, the rate level will be adjusted according to the new length of stay (up to 6 nights: daily rate; up to 30 nights: weekly rate).

Cancellation conditions and no-show

In the event of cancellation, please always submit it in writing by email. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing by the hotel.

  • Rooms at daily rate (up to 4 rooms) – free of charge until 6:00 p.m. on the day before arrival

  • Rooms at daily rate (from 5 rooms or 7 overnight stays) – free of charge up to 14 days before arrival

  • Rooms at weekly rate (from 7 consecutive nights) – free of charge up to 7 days before arrival

  • Rooms at monthly rate (from 30 consecutive nights) – free of charge up to 14 days before arrival

Rooms at special rate

  • non-refundable, saver prices, % promotions

  • not cancellable free of charge, not rebookable, 100% prepayment

These are our general guidelines; individual agreements can be found in the reservation confirmation.

Final cleaning

From a stay of 14 days, a final cleaning on departure is required:

Invoicing / Assumption of costs

The billing address as well as the items covered by a cost assumption must be provided at the time of reservation. The booker is liable for all services ordered. In the event of cancellation, a contractual penalty will be charged to the ordering party.

Cleaning

If contamination or damage exceeding normal wear and tear becomes apparent even after the guest’s departure, the hotel is entitled to subsequently charge the guest for repair costs, replacement costs or cleaning costs.

Smoking in the room (fire alarm)

Please note the strict no-smoking policy in the rooms. The fire alarm is triggered by smoke, excessive steam or gas development, as well as tampering with smoke detectors and sprinklers. In case of non-compliance, we must charge for the fire brigade deployment and, additionally, a special cleaning.

Third-party services

For onward billing of third-party services, we reserve the right to charge a 20% handling fee.

Liability

The hotel is liable only in the case of intentional or grossly negligent contractual or non-contractual damage. The burden of proof lies with the guest. For valuables brought in by hotel guests, such as artworks, cash, etc., the hotel’s liability is limited in amount to the hotel’s liability insurance sum. Valuables do not include items for personal use that serve to satisfy various material and cultural needs, even if they may be of high value (e.g., cameras, fur coats, etc.). Such items are not subject to replacement by the hotel.

Items left behind by the contracting party will only be forwarded upon request if their value exceeds € 10.00, and must be requested no later than 14 days after the stay; forwarding is at the guest’s risk and expense. Thereafter, items will be handed over to the lost-and-found office or disposed of, provided they have discernible value.

Place of jurisdiction

The competent court in Innsbruck is agreed as the place of jurisdiction (for harry’s home Munich: Munich).

Interpretations / § 6 Provision of Substitute Accommodation

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE HOTEL INDUSTRY 2006 (AGBH 2006) – version of 15/11/2006

6.1 The accommodation provider may provide the contracting partner or the guests with adequate substitute accommodation (of equal quality) if this is reasonable for the contracting partner, particularly if the deviation is minor and objectively justified.

6.2 Objective justification exists, for example, if the room(s) has/have become unusable, already accommodated guests extend their stay, there is an overbooking, or other important operational measures necessitate this step.
6.3 Any additional expenses for the substitute accommodation shall be borne by the accommodation provider.


Guarantee / Payment

For the guarantee, please provide credit card details. We cannot guarantee reservations without credit card details. Without a guarantee, we reserve the right to resell the room in the event of no-show by 6:00 p.m. The total amount of the booked services is charged 100% upon arrival.

Invoicing / Assumption of costs

Assumption of costs must, in every case, be agreed individually and is valid only after written reconfirmation by the hotel.

If costs are assumed by a company, the total amount must be paid by the company by the day before departure via bank transfer or payment link. Otherwise, the amount will be charged on site.
